One of the most popular and beloved by many home plants is violet. And no wonder: such a flower is quite easy to care for, it does not require special knowledge and skills, but at the same time it is very attractive in appearance. Today there is a huge variety of subspecies of violets.
Among them, “Le Luntik” stands out for its beauty (popularly, this species is simply called “Luntik”): the plant is distinguished by its non-standard color.
First of all, it must be said that, by its nature, Luntik is a senpolia that is not related to violets. However, "violet" is a more familiar name for a flower, therefore this word is most often used. The main biological difference between Saintpaulia and violet is the need for care. It is believed that violet is absolutely picky, while the senpolia needs a more thorough and careful attitude. But the Luntik is easy to care for.
Even a novice gardener can cope with this task.
To make sure that the Luntik violet is the right choice for your home mini-garden , you need to study the botanical features of the variety. The flower was bred by breeder Elena Anatolievna Lebetskaya. The color of this plant is dark blue with a purple tint. It is in connection with the saturated color that the violet got its name: after all, the cartoon character Luntik is painted in exactly that tone.
It is important to note that this variety is not uniform in color . It is considered fantasy. So-called violets with spots of different shapes and strokes of a different color on the petals. “Le Luntique” has a white eye, and on the surface of its flowers there may be small pink blotches. However, they may not be present on every flower. There is no need to worry about this: this is a natural characteristic of Luntik. The number of inclusions may increase with subsequent flowering.
A medium-sized outlet is formed neatly and compactly. The velvety leaves of the plant have a dark green color with pronounced mottling along the edges. However, the variegation is not intense and constant; over time, it can disappear. The flowering process takes place in the form of a bouquet. The decoration of the semi-double petals is a neat light border. Flowers do not have large sizes. On the contrary, they are quite small: their maximum size does not exceed 4 cm.
They keep on reliable peduncles.
Violet "Luntik" is not picky: it grows well and simply multiplies. Nevertheless, experts are still advised to observe some simple rules.
- In the process of watering, it is important to ensure that water does not fall on the leaves of violets. Therefore, it is better to apply the method of drip irrigation or watering through a pan. In addition, it is worth considering that the water in the pot should not be delayed, so you need to carefully calculate the volume of water and provide drainage.
- As for lighting, the flower needs a lot of light. It can be safely put on a windowsill or any other well-lit surface. At the same time, we must not forget that direct sunlight - especially direct scorching in the hot season - is fatal, the plant must be protected from them. If you want to ensure the blooming of violets in late autumn and even in winter, then it is necessary to provide artificial lighting.
- Another important characteristic is the temperature regime. Violet of the Luntik variety does not tolerate temperatures below + 20 ° C. At the same time, it is desirable to avoid extremely high rates above + 35 ° C. A prerequisite is the presence of fresh air, necessarily the absence of drafts.
- Most often, the plant is bred by cuttings. But in order to preserve the fantasy color with confidence, it is better to produce it with the help of stepsons.
Housewives and people involved in the cultivation of violets "Luntik", very positively respond to the plant. Many gardeners are attracted by a compact outlet and bright color with colored splashes. However, they note that after propagation, new young plants may not have all the characteristics of the variety. For example, blotches may disappear or variegation may decrease.
The reviews say that Luntik may be the first plant for those who are just starting to get involved in floriculture: this violet is undemanding in care, but at the same time quite beautiful and bright.
